What’s included with my admission? Your ticket includes admission into the festival grounds, access to any of the games and activities that are available, one lantern, markers and a goodie bag. You may purchase additional lanterns at our merchandise tent. The entry fee also covers the cleanup and removal of the lanterns and any trash from the water and festival area.
Is there a schedule for the event? Gates open at 4:30 pm. Musicians will perform every hour starting at 5 pm. The lantern launch takes place around dusk and will continue until all participants have had a chance to launch their lanterns. During this time you will be able to visit our vendors, enjoy great food from the food trucks, participate in some of the games and decorate your lantern.
Are there any age restrictions? Can children attend? This is an event for all ages. We welcome children of all-ages to our events. Children under 7 will not receive a lantern out of concern for their safety.
I’m concerned about the “mess” that events make. How is that handled? Our mission is to bring together people in a positive and welcoming environment, which includes leaving the festival space in as good a condition as we found it, if not better. We will continually monitor and remove trash as it accumulates during the event, and we return the following morning to make sure all the lanterns are removed, along with any other trash or refuse.
Can I bring my own food and snacks? Definitely! Feel free to bring your own food or snacks to the event. Please keep in mind that we will have some incredible food trucks at the event as well!
Can I bring alcohol? This will vary from event to event based on venue rules and restrictions. Please check the event page for information specific to that event.
Are pets allowed to attend? Pets are awesome…but they are not for everyone. Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at our events. Service dogs are welcome.
What about bad weather? Our outdoor events are rain or shine, but if it is deemed too dangerous to proceed, we will work with our venue to look into the possibility of rescheduling the event at a later date.
Is parking available? Please check with the individual event page to see what parking is available, and if there are any parking fees.
How do I become involved as a vendor, volunteer or sponsor? It would be awesome to have you involved in our event! Fill out the form under the Sponsor tab or send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Who does this benefit? Schemm Productions is a for-profit company. We donate to various charities and non-profits for each event that we run. Additionally, we sponsor a drive at each event to benefit a local organization such as a food bank or pantry. Visit the event page to see what charity we will be working for, and how you can help.
Can I take pictures? You may certainly take pictures! We encourage you to take as many pictures as you would like, for your own use or to upload to social media and share with family and friends. We will work hard to make this an event that you will want to remember!
Can I get a refund? Refunds are not available. Who are the performers? Our performers vary from event to event. Please check the page for the specific event to see the current listing for that festival.
What is there to do while we wait to launch the lanterns? Don’t worry about being bored! There will be tailgate type games like Corn Hole and Can Jam, to name a few. There will be performances by talented local musicians throughout the evening. You can enjoy the offerings of a variety of fantastic food trucks and visit vendors and sponsors in the Vendor Village. You will also need time to decorate your lantern and enjoy being part of something special and magical.
I have more questions. How do I get answers? Send your question(s) to me at krisschemm@schemmproductions and I will get answers to you as quickly as possible!
